Through connection We find the strength to heal

Sometimes the patterns that once helped us survive eventually become the very patterns that leave us feeling stuck.

You may find yourself wanting closeness while also fearing rejection, betrayal, or vulnerability. You may repeatedly end up in relationships that leave you feeling unseen or alone. Or perhaps anxiety, shame, anger, emptiness, addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, substances, technology, or other ways of coping have become difficult to manage.

Often, there is more beneath these struggles than what appears on the surface.

Our experiences—especially our earliest relationships—shape how we understand ourselves, what we expect from others, what we fear, what we desire, and how we protect ourselves from emotional pain. These patterns can operate outside our awareness, even when we genuinely want something different.

Therapy creates a space to become curious about them.

Together, we can explore not only what is happening, but why it may be happening. We will pay attention to your emotions, relationships, recurring patterns, defenses, desires, fears, and the ways you experience yourself and others—including what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship.

The goal isn't to turn you into someone else.

It is to help you know yourself more deeply, develop greater freedom in how you respond to life, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter to you.

If faith or spirituality is important to you, it can also have a meaningful place in our work. Your beliefs, doubts, values, experiences, and spiritual life can be explored with the same openness and curiosity as every other part of your life.

My Approach

Relational Psychodynamic Therapy

Transforming lives through deeper understanding and more meaningful relationships.

Transformation starts with self-awareness. Understand the patterns that have shaped who you are, deepen your relationship with yourself, and discover new ways of relating to self, others, and the life you want to live.

Psychodynamic therapy begins with the understanding that we are not always fully aware of what drives our feelings, choices, relationships, and behaviors. Rather than focusing only on eliminating symptoms, we become curious about what those symptoms, patterns, and struggles may reveal about your inner world. And because many of our deepest wounds and ways of relating were formed in relationships, healing also happens through relationship.

Our work is collaborative. I will listen closely, ask questions, notice patterns, offer observations, challenge you when it may be helpful, and create room for experiences that may have been difficult to put into words.

A supportive presence and collaborative relationship with empathic energy at the center, where one can be seen, heard, and understood more deeply and accurately is crucial in bringing about the desired outcomes of therapy.

Insight matters, but insight alone isn't the goal. The hope is that greater self-understanding creates greater freedom to respond rather than simply react, to relate rather than protect, and to live with greater authenticity, connection, and choice.

"the essence of psychodynamic therapy is exploring those aspects of self that are not fully known, especially as they are manifested and potentially influenced in the therapy relationship."

About Me

People are more complex than their symptoms. My approach is curious, relational, and collaborative. Rather than approaching you as a problem to be solved, I'm interested in understanding your experience—how you became who you are, the patterns you've developed along the way, and what may now be asking to change.

Therapy begins with being known.

My background and training influence how I work, but credentials alone don't create meaningful therapy.

The relationship does.

I want therapy to be a place where you can bring the parts of yourself that are confident and uncertain, hopeful and discouraged, admirable and difficult—the parts you understand and the parts you don't yet understand. I approach that process with curiosity, warmth, honesty, and respect for the complexity of your story.

My education and clinical training provide the foundation for our work, but therapy itself is something we create together.

Therapy for Teens

A place to figure out who you are, not simply who everyone expects you to be. Adolescence brings change. Questions about identity, belonging, relationships, family, school, sexuality, independence, meaning, and the future can become difficult to carry alone. Sometimes you just need a relationship where you can speak freely, become curious about yourself, and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface. Therapy can provide a confidential and supportive space. My goal is not simply to help you “behave better,” but to help you understand yourself more deeply, develop your own voice, and grow into a more grounded sense of who you are.

Therapy for Adults

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and unlock new possibilities for how to live and relate. Understand what's beneath the pattern. You may come to therapy because of anxiety, depression, loneliness, relationship difficulties, trauma, addiction, shame, grief, or simply the sense that something in your life isn't working the way you want it to. We can begin there. We'll look beyond the immediate problem and become curious about the deeper psychological, emotional and relational patterns shaping your experience.

You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Sometimes the starting point is simply knowing that something isn't working or wanting to understand yourself more deeply.

If you're curious about whether we might work well together, I invite you to reach out. Let’s go on this adventure together—exploring your past, embracing your present, and expanding your future.
